Weekends and Colds

Why is it that whenever there's a long weekend - and the weather is great - I have a cold. I limped through yesterday and because I had a splitting headache ended up going to bed at about 8pm (which was fine, until someone decided to ring me up at 10pm and then hangup, presumably a wrong number). Still, feeling much better today (though not 100-percent) and am ratting through all the chores I'd planned to do yesterday. I actually have desk space after the reference books from the "Project From Hell" have been packed away.

Next step: sitting and re-watching "City of Lost Children", "Delicatessen", "Alien Resurection" and "Amelie" (my copy of "A Very Long Engagement" is still in the mail from France). And you know what, it's homework - my A/S coursework is on Jean-Pierre Jenet - so I don't feel the slightest bit guilty about doing so :)

Guild Wars, MxO and other MMOs

My copy of the new Guild Wars MMO (massive multiplayer online game, for those who don't know) arrived on Saturday morning. No monthly fees on this one, so I imagine it'll last on my PC much longer than the EQs. It'll be the 9th MMO I've played, competing with newly-installed Matix Online (MxO) for time, but so far only SWG and WOW have had had long-lasting appeal.
